Ice Slicer Now Available
CM’s now carries a product called Ice Slicer, made up of complex chlorides and over 60 trace minerals to treat parking lots.
Ice Slicer is used by several cities and states to combat ice-covered roadways with outstanding results. More effective than rock salt, Ice Slicer is a natural product, making it environmentally safer. It acts like a gravel-salt mixture giving added traction beyond rock salt and minimizes the corrosion of concrete and metal. Because it is a natural product, there is virtually no damage to turf and plants, and no clean up is required! Surfaces treated with Ice Slicer are ice free to 0 degrees Fahrenheit as opposed to surfaces treated with rock salt which are ice free only to 16 degrees to 18 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to its composition, less is more – you will use roughly two-thirds less material than if you use rock salt.
